The Rutgers study found kiwifruit to be the most
nutrient dense of 27 of the most popular fruits, followed
by, papaya, cantaloupe and strawberry. On the basis of cost
in calories per nutrient, kiwifruit has the fifth lowest
caloric cost behind lemon and strawberry, cantaloupe and
papaya.

Suspiciously, Rutgers does not rate blueberries particularly highly--they come out worse than plums. There may be some corporate-based "favoritism" at work here -- i.e., the study's sponsors.

It's a shame that Avocados did so poorly on Rutgers scale. Rutgers under-rated the importance of the fat (especially, the good monounsaturated fat) in human diet. Avocados are a great way to get both fat and phytochemical nutrients into your body!
