Pursue CRON with Purpose and a Noble Life Destiny
The more years on CRON, the harder it is to cheat.
I can no longer enjoy or even partake of all the old
and previously tempting "cheat foods" that used to
befuddle my CRON.
That which interferes with CRON -- that junk is what
I do not want. This attitude crystallizes with passing
years. I learn new ways to make me happy and to
defeat temptation and addiction. It takes patience
for me, and the gradual passage of time before I learn
to be happy, so that CRON happiness and CRON joy kicks
into my life solid.
It takes patience to orient the CRON psychology,
develop a CRON sociology, foster a CRON mindset,
adjust to CRON physiology, reorient to a new
CRON self-image, learn CRON value systems,
understand CRON emotions, and develop other aspects
of CRON lifestyle, while defeating adlib temptations
that violate CRON (and violate me) ...
Gradually we orient those everyday aspects of living
to an everyday happy, successful, efficient, enjoyable,
productive and redeeming CRON lifestyle.
Redeeming means ... you cash in on the so-called
"negative aspects" of CRON, to turn them into blessings
to save yourself and others.
So I learn to be patient with my weakness.
But my weakness goes away with time, and I become
a better person, a better CRON person, every day,
and oh so slowly.
In part through the help that each person in the
CRSociety (electronic forums, conferences, personal
contact, regional functions, etc) lends me through
their support and their wisdom. I love you all.
See you all soon -- at CRIV Conference 2006 in Tucson.

Not so much political, as more like anti-CRON.
But I have violated CRON so many times in the past,
that I can understand this point of view. Violations
are much less frequent now, and much less severe.
But I always try to keep my vision. I try to improve,
and to follow my compass, knowing the errors of my
anti-CRON ways. CRON lifestyle values are getting
embedded deeper and deeper into my soul at last.
Progress happens patiently, as I learn about myself.
I receive help from participation in CRSociety,
and I receive knowledge from trying to learn what CRON
is all about, (through study and reading), and from
learning to control and regulate and satisfy my
various needs, to make CRON a truly a liberating
lifestyle that I love and that I respect and honor.

Yes, improving lifestyle, to make it CRON-correct, and
by implication, longevity-correct. CRON and Longevity
are synonymous, since nothing else is proven to work
reliably and universally, to extend healthspan and
extend lifespan across the entire animal kingdom.

Well, for me, it was necessary. But the effort is
worth it, and it makes you stronger too.
Are there "born natural CRONers"? Maybe. Not I.
There may be some for whom it was easy. But with brothers
and sisters that out-weigh me by a 100 pounds, maybe it
is "my genes" to blame. But I think in the past, that
adlib delights were just too great, self-control too little,
and plain old "Satan" tempted me too much. My spirit was
not right with God -- which I think is a powerful force,
if not the most powerful force in governing and improving
human behavior, to motivate positive change, rid bad habits,
and to defeat addiction.

Yes, a gradual wobbly approach to CRON is the pathway for
most people, taking one or two little steps at a time,
with some backward steps too, that we correct with
time and patience, forgiving ourselves and others.

Beautifully stated, very graphic, and possibly true.
Both cancer and weight reduction are quite unlikely.
But we always remember: Weight reduction is NOT, NOT,
NOT the strategic goal of CR.
Metabolic accelerants, whether it be excessive exercise,
excess muscle mass that stimulates appetite, foods that
allow you to eat more because they speed fat reduction,
or hormones to burn off fatty tissue and reduce weight,
or whatever it is ...
Metabolic accelerants actually kill you faster.
For longevity -- it is no-win -- and certain-loss.

Stress that defeats us is an evil. (Sort of like
cheating on CRON and caving in to our addictions).
Stress that we defeat is a blessing to make us strong
and resilient (Sort of like success at CRON lifestyle).
Survival can be stressful -- but only if we allow it
to hurt us, and we give it permission -- since all of us
are conscious beings with a will -- who allow --
or who refuse.
Stress can be a great killer -- or NOT. We get better!
We can refuse to let stress defeat us. We can become
CRON winners. We can make a conscious decision to make
every day a happy day. After all, we are still alive
(not dead yet, praise be to God), with help from CRON
to keep us that way -- alive longer and happier too!
Dear Lord, help us all, with belief in self, belief in
a power greater than self, belief in others, with vision
of a glorious purpose in life, with a destiny to fulfill,
with spiritual values to help us make progress every day,
to make us happy, and grant us mastery and skill to
nourish and strengthen our CRON lifestyle.
We know CRON is not stress -- but FREEDOM from stress.
All are dearly beloved, each and all. So remember always:
You have a glorious purpose. You are empowered from above.
You have a noble destiny to fulfill. |
