This is an interesting study. Although the implications are many, one of the more important messages is that abundant amino acids may shorten lifespan. When trying to figure out what someone already on CR should "change", things get complicated. For instance, lifespan decreased if amino acid restriction was too pronounced.
At the very least, this lends credence to the notion that there may be a specific contribution of amino acids to longevity, a contribution that is independent of overall calorie intake.
