A CRONie at the CRS noted:

To which another CRONie replied:
What was being discussed was whether the CRS defining "% CR"
in humans was a good idea.
The level of calorie intake in humans that leads to the best
life
extension results (if that's what you mean) seems like a
research
question to me. AFAICS, we won't have the answer with much
confidence for most of this century. The issue is complicated
by the high probability that the level of CR humans can tolerate
will prove to be a function of their ability to handle
stress - which
seems to vary a good deal from person to person. It does not
seem like a problem that could be resolved with a definition.
These two things seem like orthogonal issues to me. |
