This is an interesting study. My interpretation is that CR is a stress that increases the maximum lifespan of a certain subset of mice present in the "nomal, wild population", but that the stress is so severe that some will die early, making the average lifespan not increase in the wild population.

So, people who don't want to do CR will see this and walk away for sure, now. I think that this type of research does call attention to the fact that scientists need to better understand "what the heck is going on" in CR.
